HOME OUR TEAM SERVICES EDUCATION PHYSICIAN SERVICES WHAT'S NEW LOCATIONS

In order to provide you with today’s state-of-the-art radiology services, we’ve invested in your health through modern medical imaging and diagnostic equipment. Some of our imaging techniques include:

MRI Exam

This safe and painless procedure uses a magnetic field to produce highly detailed images of areas within the body, including the brain and spine. In addition, cartilage and ligaments of many joints, such as the knee, ankle, shoulder, elbow and jaw, can be seen with clarity. With 3-D magnetic resonance angiography (MRA), noninvasive imaging of blood vessels in the neck, chest, abdomen and legs can be performed.

Computed Tomography

Also known as “CT scans” or “CAT scans,” this technology uses a special X-ray camera to produce highly detailed images of the chest, abdomen, pelvis, brain and spine. We use an advanced spiral scanner that allows us to see smaller structures and pinpoint problems with greater accuracy.

Ultrasound

Our high-resolution ultrasound exam is a safe and fast way to screen for certain problems in many different organs, including the liver, gallbladder, kidneys, thyroid gland and more. We also offer Doppler ultrasound, a revolutionary procedure that allows us to look for blockages or aneurysms in blood vessels.

Bone Densitometry

DEXA scans are a safe and painless way of checking your bone density and bone mineral content. This is essential to detecting osteoporosis early enough to get appropriate treatment.

Nuclear Medicine

This provides very detailed imaging of certain organs, allowing us to detect much smaller (and newer) cancers and other health problems. The thyroid gland, gallbladder, liver, kidneys, skeletal system and more can be assessed.

Cardiovascular Radiology

The technological advancements in medical imaging offer new hope in the fight to keep you as heart-healthy as possible. We were the first physicians in the area to introduce outpatient cardiac MRI, which can produce highly detailed images of the heart and surrounding structures, helping us identify blockages in the major blood vessels. Cardiac nuclear medicine studies yield vital information about the heart¹s functional status, and we use it to see blood flow and the heart’s pumping action with clarity. Finally, echocardiography is used to help identify coronary artery disease.

Neuroradiology

This includes imaging and interventional procedures related to the brain, spine, spinal cord, head and neck. By having physicians with fellowship training in neuroradiology, we have the specialized training and skills needed to function as expert diagnostic and therapeutic consultants.

Musculoskeletal Radiology

Our fellowship-trained physicians provide many area doctors with the highest-quality interpretations for both common and complex musculoskeletal conditions.

ENT Radiology

We have several neuroradiologists with fellowship training in this specialty, and that’s made us the choice of many area ear, nose and throat physicians for their patients. We utilize MRI and CT scans to pinpoint problems with the head and neck.

Interventional Radiology

Conditions that once required surgery can now be treated with catheters as tiny as the tip of a pen, using radiologic images as a guide. Biopsy of small lesions that were detected by high-resolution scans can be performed. Uterine artery embolization can eliminate benign fibroid tumors without traditional surgery, plus it allows a woman to keep her uterus. And vertebroplasty is a safe, nonsurgical treatment for reducing or eliminating the pain caused by spinal fractures. Our staff includes fellowship-trained physicians who can perform these studies with the highest level of expertise.
